You cut out and instal the included thermal overload switch if/when you decide.
I also highely recomend you instal the fan filter and reverse air flow.

Motor mount bolts on this Smithy model do not always match so minor grinding or slotting of the motor mounting plate may be required.

There are two belt drive versions of this machine:
One uses a single belt to the spindle.

The other has an intermediate shaft and 2 belts.

Belt tension may require cutting out the back plate to increase motor/tensioner travel.

Lead time:

There is a 5 day delay added to the ship date. This is so we can make sure and build it + ship itso that you receive it in the time allotment allowed.

Sold with a custom built matching control unit:
(As seen in image 1).

This version would screw onto a wall or stand just above the motor area of the smithy.

Speed is programmable for any range between 300 to 3,500 RPM.

Current motor mount design:
Allows for motor to be installed upright and reversed. This allows for our control unit to be used during your install. Please contact me for instructions if you wish to reverse and build in a controller or route wires to frong of machine face.

Current motor to control unit wiring:
The maximum distance between control unit and motor is now 28" (was 22").

Runs on typical 110 to 120 volt AC.

A complete servo motor as seen in images.

A stand alone and programmable custom built servo motor driver with overload protection and internal speed control.
Plastic version seen in image 1.

A welded steel motor mount designed to fit the Smithy Granite 1324 seen in images. Look close at images as some of these
machines have a different mounting system.

The 2AK30 pulley comes installed on the motor.
Ask before you order if you want the stepped pulley to fit a 10 mm betric belt instead.
The motor speed can be programmed to operate in any range chosen by the user.
Between 200 and 3,500 RPM's.

The full range of speed (RPM's) can also be controlled with just the speed control knob.

Speed control programming only requires a few easy steps.

Reverse is simple, just press the blue button.

Programming includes the ability to set bottom and top RPM range separately. In other words you can
program the system to run the spindle at any speed or range of speeds you choose (see below).
Slowest speed achievable: Motor 300 RPM.
Highest speed: 3,500 RPM. If you over clock, you do so at your own risk and warranty is void.

Soft start is programmable and will be set as soft as possible when you receive this motor. This program is very effective in reducing drive belt wear etc.

Braking strength is also programmable and will be set as low as possible. Personally I wish I could set it lower.

Self diagnostics with fault code chart.

Safe turn on system where the speed control knob must be in the full counter clockwise (stop) position when turned on. When turned on the self diagnostic system checks for faults and will not allow the motor to turn on until the speed control knob is turned all the way to stop first.

Certain items are not returnable (See listings). Items costing less than $15 each are not returnable.

No reason is required.

Buyer pays return shipping.

Buyer provides tracking number that shows the item is in possession of the return shipping company before the 30 day time period runs out.

30 day time period starts when tracking shows original order as in possession of USPS.

Buyer to provide tracking # and shipping company name to be e mailed to servomotorkit@gmail.com within 36 hours of when issued.

Return must be shipped through USPS, UPS or FedEx.

Defective products are always returnable or refundable but will require documentation. See warranty time limits as they are directly related to if a product qualify's as defective. Shipping is always refunded on defective products. You are required to provide proper documentation of said defect.

Shipping is not refundable simply because you changed your mind or the product does not fit. It is your responsibility to look up and or measure to insure proper fit and suitability for your intended use. If you are not sure, ask us. If we say it fits in an e-mail or text message and it does not; than we pay the shipping instead of you.

All items returned must be in like new and unused condition:
This includes original packaging.

Missing packaging will result in a restocking charge of up to 10%

Installed items will not be refunded or charged up to 50% to restore and resell as a refurbished unit.

Swapping out parts will result in no refunds, all warranty's voided and no new orders accepted.
Try honesty instead, we will be happy to assist and find a solution that keeps both of us happy.
Limited 90 to 180 day parts warranty.
Labor is buyers responsibility:
See details, what's covered and for how long etc below. Shipping both ways for all parts returned for warranty is the buyers responsibility. Parts returned will be inspected for unique identification mark and or abuse. If found to be abuse or missing the identity mark, no warranty exchange part will be provided and buyer will be required to pay shipping to get their parts back. Warranty exchange parts may or may not be new but instead refurbished or demos that I have from previous builds. Warranty starts on the day our records show the system as paid and not the date the item is actually received.

Servo Motor. - I will exchange a defective servo motor for up to 180 days. Buyer must return the motor + the control unit + the speed control switch for inspection and testing. Additionally original packaging such as Styrofoam package inserts must be used to return these parts.

Computer control unit. - I will exchange a defective control unit PCB for up to 90 days. Buyer must return the motor + the control unit + the speed control switch for inspection and testing. Additionally original packaging such as Styrofoam package inserts must be used to return these parts.

Improper instalation or abusive operation is not warrenty.
Note: Overclocking is considered abuse and may void warranty.
All after the sale customer support is done by text to the number included in the box and not through eBay.

All returns during the 14 day return window are done through eBay.
