- Motor controller is our custom made 2024 design with reverse on the fly.
- Motor drive pulley is now manufactured for us.
- Motor mounting plate is in stock.
About the system:
- Control unit is placed above and and clear of the metal filings.
- Runs extremely smooth and quiet.
- Adds the reverse on the fly feature.
- Adds the E-Stop feature.
- Includes the power went out safty feature. This is a must for automated systems.
- Low speed achievable spindle speed:
O.E.M. claims 100 RPM. My testing shows almost no torque at these speeds.- Increases hp from (factory claims 1/3 to 3/4 hp depending on model) to 1 HP and 10 NM meter torque.
All milling machines are dangerous, increasing the horsepower increases this danger.

customer fit this kit to their mill. They also
redesigned it so that the spindle lock
engaged safety shut down was function-able.
That by the way takes some skill as it is not
included in the kit. - LMS early version High Torque 3990.
We had a customer use this kit on his. He
states he had to use the original motor
plate as a spacer in addition to our motor
plate.
Consider this, the pulley we use is hard to get.
Sometimes it is a longer version. This allows it
to fit the machines we have not tested without
belt alignment.
More often we us the shorter version and adjust
alignment on our demo machine. So if you are
installing on a 3990 you may need to check
alignment by measuring with a caliper type depth gauge.
Our demo has holes so we can see it running.
