Year 2026 brings in the new 2026 controller with reverse on the fly
The controller now comes with a stand/bracket. This allows
screw or double sided tape it on top of the spindle housing.
The build in version is discontinued and no longer available.

This is not a bolt on upgrade.
It is a difficult conversion and requires additional machine work.

Sold with most of the adapters required to install in the original motor location of the 8 X 14.

Each one is custom built when you order:
When the build is complete, it will be tested for 20 minuets.
Any defects found during testing will require a complete new build. This insures you likely will not have to deal with returns and exchanges due to manufacturer defects.
All parts required to build are In stock. That means if it is listed as available, it is because we have enough parts to build at least two. We also stock extra parts in case of warranty.

This system provides full power at any speed
Motor and spindle speeds + Reverse:
The motor speed can be programmed and or full range can be achieved with just the speed control rotary knob on the controller:
Speed control programming only requires a few easy steps.
Reverse is simple, just hold the yellow button for a few seconds.
Programming includes the ability to set bottom and top RPM range separately. In other words you can program the system to run the spindle at any speed or range of speeds you choose (see below).
Slowest speed achievable: Motor 300 RPM
Highest speed this one produced: Motor 4500 RPM.

A new 750 watt motor like the one seen here in photos. Motor will come with the motor mount and hardware.

A new 2026 control computer .
This control unit is built by The Custom Crafter. It includes:

Thermal overload system with reset function. Make note: Color of the reset rocker switch is green. If it is not green or orange, it does not have thermal overload protection.

A wire harness that will allow you to power up your existing digital tach from our control unit.

Reverse on the fly.

Power went out safety system.

Emergency stop switch.

Improved pot with 10 rpm increments instead of 100.

The new 2026 control computer (driver) comes programmed to base settings for this lathe. You are advised to tune the brake and acceleration to your personal needs.

Programming instructions, fault codes and diagnostics are also provided by The Custom Crafter on our web site.
You will need a milling machine to cut the slots in the lathe bed and to cut the key way slot in the spindle.

You will need a second working lathe to make or machine spacers.

You will need a hydraulic press to press out and back in the spindle.
Buyer has 10 days from the time he/she receives this item as shown by tracking to request a return authorization.

Seller usually responds in under 24 hours + buyer will have sellers text only phone number.

Buyer has 10 days ship time to have the return at the sellers address. 10 day period starts when seller issues the return authorization.

Seller will inspect returned system and if it passes, seller will issue a refund of the purchase price less shipping. (buyer pays shipping both ways)

Main components have a unique internal water soluble identification mark. No refund will be issued if it is missing.

All original parts and packaging must be returned to get a refund.

No return authorizations will be issued after the 10 day period.
Limited 90 to 180 day parts warranty. Labor is buyers responsibility:
See details, what's covered and for how long etc below. Shipping both ways for all parts returned for warranty is the buyers responsibility. Parts returned will be inspected for unique identification mark and or abuse. If found to be abuse or missing the identity mark, no warranty exchange part will be provided and buyer will be required to pay shipping to get their parts back. Warranty exchange parts may or may not be new but instead refurbished or demos that I have from previous builds. Warranty starts on the day our records show the system as paid and not the date the item is actually received.

Servo Motor. - I will exchange a defective servo motor for up to 90 days. Buyer must return the motor + the control unit + the speed control switch for inspection and testing. Additionally original packaging such as Styrofoam package inserts must be used to return these parts.

Computer control unit. - I will exchange a defective control unit PCB for up to 90 days. Buyer must return the motor + the control unit + the speed control switch for inspection and testing. Additionally original packaging such as Styrofoam package inserts must be used to return these parts.

Timing pulleys, motor mount and aluminum adapters. 180 days - I will exchange or replace these items at no cost or limited cost to buyer as follows. Buyer will be asked to provide photos. If photos are accepted seller will ship replacement parts at no cost to buyer. If photos are not accepted seller will ask buyer to return parts at buyers expense for inspection before seller warranties these parts.

Timing belt and small parts are not covered. Customer alterations and machine work are not covered and may void the above warranty.

Improper instalation or abusive operation is not warrenty.
Print and keep your receipt, it could save you money.. We keep all parts in stock. That means if you brake it, we can fix it within days, not months to years waiting for parts from the large US sellers. Honesty goes a long way. If you smoked it just say so.
We will ask a few questions and then sell you the correct replacement parts. Optionally we will ask you to return the control unit for repair and repair it for you at $45 plus shipping.
